4th annual Neil Diamond Chrismas Party!

At this Christmas party we were asked to wear crazy sweaters. So Josh wore my grandpa's NRA sweater of course it was made with patriotic colors, turns out he won best sweater! So we were so excited, we won 4 day passes to a gym that expire in 2days. It was great! I won the Neil Diamond trivia game (i am a really good guesser) my mom was really proud!

Ice skating in San Fran.

This is the huge Christmas tree and skating rink at union square. We took this picture from the top of the macy's building, (actually we took it at the furniture department close to the top of the macy's building because Josh loves looking at home furniture that we will never get:)
This is the skating rink we were at, it was so fun!
Josh and I got in for free because a really nice lady didn't need two of her tickets so this night really rocked!
My Josh is so good at skating, he just puts his head down and goes for it;) luckily even though it was crowded we didn't have any wrecks.
Oh yeah and the buildings are so gorgeous right now with all their lights!

Mary and Joseph for the night

Our ward christmas party was so fun! Josh and I were asked to be Mary and Joseph and to participate in a little skit. So it went a little something like this; I had a baby bump and I had to give birth in .5 seconds in front of a live studio audience and then when I had baby Jesus my husband (Joseph) handed me the baby like he was handing me a football. So looks like we need to work on that before we actually have a baby. (luckily the baby was plastic)
Can you see the bump? Doesn't Josh make a good Joseph!
Random pictures of our friends enjoying the amazing christams party!

Elder Wirthlin

I am so going to miss hearing sweet Elder Wirthlin give amazing talks at general conference! He always gave the talks that made you smile. I always seem to need his talks. Elder Wirthlin's talks always encouraged us to be happy, try to laugh more, be kind, and help others in need. I have almost lived in California for a year and coming from a place where almost everyone is the same, especially in beliefs, it was hard to come here. But Elder Wirthlin's talk last april conference about true love really helped me adapt to this new environment. By trying to find the good in others and not judging, and having charity really stuck out to me. His talk this last conference in October was amazing and Josh and I are trying to use his moto; Come What May and Love It! He was such a sweet man, I will miss him but I am sure he is happier where he is now.

Thanksgiving in Reno!

First time in Reno, it was fun to hang out with our best buds Kristin and Brandon! Kristin was my roommate in college and after we both got married and graduated from school we never thought we'd see each other again, luckily we've ended up only a few hours away from them!
We went on a thanksgiving day walk, check out Kristin's cute baby bump!
We are ready to chow down, there was no talking for like 15min. because we were enjoying our food so much!
Brandon carving our tiny turkey
The boys doing what boys do after dinner (lay around and watch football:)
Thanks Kristin and Brandon for letting us come be with you on thanksgiving! We all missed our families but it was still a lot of fun being together as friends!

Slumber party with my best girlfriends!

So twilight didn't work out and that was so disappointing but I was still excited because my bff's from college came last minute to hang out with me. Jane (the one in the middle) just got back from her mission in Argentina! It was fun to catch up with her and of course my other bff Bobbie! We went to dinner and talked until at least 3am, it was your typical sleepover (sorry Josh)
And of course I wrote on a cake from my bakery and gave it to Jane as a homecoming gift!

Twilight

I am not even going to try and pretend like I don't want to see this movie! I hope it's good... it will be... it better be! My good friend Bethany and I are even going really early to save seats; you know we can't let all the teenagers take the good seats:)

Going back to school!

I am going back to school in January but first before I register for classes I have to take a math placement test, Yuke! I am terrible at math which is probably why they are making me take it. Anyway I would appreciate any positive thoughts, energy, vibes, and/or prayers that could be directed in my direction! Did I mention the last time I took a math class was like five years ago, my first year at college and I hadn't planned on moving away, trying to transfer my credits, and having the classes not transfer! It's cool, I'm sure it will be fine. Anyway,I thought this picture was kind of funny!

Ginko trees in the fall

Back at home in Washington my family has a ginko tree in the front yard and it is my mom's favorite! The leaves are really beautiful and the ginko species of tree has been around since prehistoric days. Anyways while walking to work I noticed that here in Burlingame there are quite a bit of ginko trees. So I thought I would upload some pictures of the pretty leaves and fruit that this tree is shedding right now. Back at home we have a "male" tree meaning that it doesn't give off any fruit. So here you go mom, now you can see what the ginko fruit looks like. It smells really bad! But the leaves are really beautiful right now!

Nursery moments

This is the nursery class out for a walk. All the nursery teachers cherish these walks because it burns about 10min. and all the kids seem to like it and no body usually cries!
Here we are during our playing time, aren't they so cute!
I love these kids, it was a good day today, maybe because there were only 11 kids instead of 16 (3 children are not pictured)
No one really likes reading time, they just like to fight for a lap to sit on! Sorry to any mom who doesn't appreciate me blogging about her child! I can't help it they are a big part of my life:)

I voted!

Everyone get out and Vote!! I have never felt this way about any kind of election and I am thankful for the opportunity that I have to vote. I am also thankful that I can help out today and volunteer for prop. 8! My stomach is in knots about everything but I feel like I have become a better person and a better member of my church because of my involvement with this issue. Whether it passes or not at least I can say I tried!

It's Josh's Birthday!

This is my big birthday boy with all of his presents (we aren't very patient in this family so pretty much as soon as you wake up on your birthday presents are fair game:) We are going out to dinner tonight and maybe go kart racing? Oh yeah, and of course as tradition stands Josh gets his birthday strawberry chessecake! I love you Josh happy birthday! I can't tell you how old Josh is because he hates knowing he's in his mid twenties! So there's a hint:)

Halloween

11 inches later...

My hair looks so beautiful now that it's chopped off! I hope locks of love can use it!
It is going to take a while to get use to it that's for sure, especially the bangs!
My hair looks darker now too, I don't know why but I just don't like it right now!
Yeah, we'll see how it looks in a week, I am definitely going to have to work on the styling!

Now you see it, soon you won't. R.I.P long hair!

Ever since I can remember I have always had extremely long hair and I have always worn it in a ridiculous huge bun on top of my head. Most of my friends who have known me for a while can back me up on this. The first time I met my husband I had my long hair sky high in a bun on top of my head. I have been growing my hair out for the last year so that I can give it to locks of love, and tomorrow is the day! I don't really know how to feel because my hair has always been really long and if my mom had to watch me cut it she would probably cry:) Enjoy these pictures of me with my notorious bun!
I wore a bun at the coast at a family reunion.
A bun on my honey moon
Of course I wore a bun to a party.

This is how long it is now, and right now I can't say I'm sad to see it go, I am so pumped for tomorrow! (After this picture was taken I put my hair up in a bun)

Carving pumpkins

Josh and I love hammering these colorful sticks into our pumpkin!
It's so easy and the kit came with five different pictures to use, we chose a bat!
Almost done!
Yeah, it looks good and I didn't almost cut my arm off carving a face that I would have ruined anyway!

Come on the California teachers union donated, really?

I just want to say how outrageous I think it is that the California state teachers union donated $1million to support gay marriage!! I wasn't that upset when I heard of all the dumb celebrities donating their money to No on Prop 8 but our own teachers union? I expected more of them. This is absolutely ridiculous, I thought of about 100 other things that this union could have used this money for that were educationally based! I saw this article in the Daily Post but this website will do the trick too. This article says that the union is for equal rights, last time I checked same sex partners had the same rights as anyone else. I end this post with saying that you can't call a peanut butter and jelly sandwich that if you have just peanut butter or just jelly. A marriage is not a marriage if it is not between a man and a woman! I'm sorry; seeing our public school union support this made me a little crazy. Sorry to all the teachers that belong to this union and who support Prop 8, I would be outraged if I had to pay dues to this union!

Not everything that happens in Cancun stays in Cancun!

I officially hate Cancun Mexico! I mean come on do you see all these bug bites! And I have more on the other leg. Something attacked me, and I feel really disgusting! I started to notice bug bites appearing on my legs a couple days before we left and I had itch cream but it ran out. So the day we left to go home I felt like an alcoholic trying to avoid alcohol. I have no self restraint I was itching so bad. Josh kept telling me to stop and that the itching would make it worse but I just couldn't! Of course we missed our flight from mexico city, because the dumb plane that picked us up in cancun was late so we spent a total of 10hours in airports that day and I could not find anyone who sold itch cream! Let's just say the flight home was bad! I'm not trying to be dramatic but I really wanted to cut my legs off that day! Luckily that day ended, I found itch cream and now I'm fine, yay! Oh, and another thing that doesn't stay in mexico is sun burns but that picture is for another post:)

We're back

We had an awesome view! It did rain a few times but we still swam anyway
The resort was amazing everything was all shinny and new. My only complaint is that even if you smile at an employee they expected a tip! I guess that's just how it is at places like that, it got a little annoying though!
I know truck driver hats are so out, but in that weather that hat saved my life!
The pools were beautiful I can't believe we were there
Oh yeah, and we got to see cute little faces like this the whole trip!
