It's Here!!

For the first time in 5 months I had to shut my windows because I was freezing! Fall has arrived here in the bay area. Now saying that I'm sure next week will be record breaking highs but whatever. I am actually looking forward to this great season! I never cared for it as a child but I'm coming around thanks to cute coats and dark nail polish! Oh, and college football. FYI this picture is not of my apartment building, if I showed you a pic of my building it would depress you... no wait, it would depress me!

We like us some football!!

J got to organize our date night this time and he decided that we should go to a Stanford football game. And since we're from WA and love UW we decided to see this game! I didn't drag my feet to much because I kinda like college football...ok I looovvveee college football! J and I were so sad we didn't get to go to a college with sports! This picture is the huskies running out on the field. I thought it was funny that they were being led by a guy cheerleader holding the W flag!!

Kick off was so exciting, J and I got to the game really early so we were ready for the game to finally start!

The only bad thing about the kick off was that as soon as Stanford caught the ball they immediately ran down the field and scored:(

This is us at the game, we were so pumped! It was like 1000 degrees in Palo Alto though, so let's just say gray was a bad choice for me to wear!
Isn't my hubby so cute! He's got his drink and he's watching the game, it's kind of like watching a little kid while he watches tv. You know the kid is totally into it and you try talking to the kid but he is so into the show that he doesn't even hear you when you are sitting right next to him:)

Cutest pillow I've ever seen!

I love this pillow! Mainly because I love doilies! Anyways, just thought I would share how much I love them. If you love them too they're at simplesagedesigns.blogspot.com
All of my most cherished friends and family don't have to wonder what I'm giving them for Christmas because I love these so much I want to share with everyone! Just don't tell Josh because I'm thinking of filling my living room with these in all shapes and sizes and he will probably think they are too girly:)

Julia Child recipe

This is the recipe my mom and I made on Julia Child's birthday and we loved it!! It is the Potage Parmentier and it's actually the first recipe that Julie Powell made when she decided to tackle all 500 + recipes in Child's, Mastering the Art of French Cooking by Julia Child. You can find the recipe on the aarpmagazine.org/food website. If you do make it try red potatoes it gave the soup a sweet taste! I think I know what I want for christmas (hint, it's a cook book and movie!)

I can be crafty

When my mom came to visit she brought these cute tea towels. The only thing was that we had to sew these cute characters on them. It was such a fun project to do with my mom and the sewing wasn't too hard. I love these and use them all the time. I miss my mom when I look at them!

Labor Day 2009

This is where we started our adventure at the Presidio, I thought it was going to be a little stroll through the park.
Here are the boys trying to prove that we weren't lost.. but we were
We finally found our way around, here are some old presidio homes
We went with our friends, The Stagg's, and they had one cute but tired baby!
We found the pet cemetery which is not being kept up very well but it is really old, all the old army families that use to live in the presidio were the ones who actually started this cemetery for their pets
We made our way down to the water, you know how I love showing you pictures of the Golden Gate!
J and I just saying "Hi"
The last stop on our fun filled day of walking was the palace of fine arts, here we got to feed the beautiful swans. It was a really fun Labor day. Hope Labor Day was enjoyable for you all too!

I forgot to show you this!

In July we went to J's company picnic and this is what we took away from it. I think the lady drawing us was really nice to me because I told her she had a cute dress on. So I did not look this good but I think she did a really good job of catching J's "worried" look! He must of looked like he didn't want to be there or something? Anyway isn't it cute? Enjoy!

Why am I so excited?

Twilight wasn't very good, but for some reason I'm still really excited to see this one? Maybe because I liked the books so much? I think I just like to get excited about getting excited about a movie I might want to see, does that make since? P.s. I wasn't around in the blogging world to tell you how much I loved Julie and Julia! I totally started cooking a lot more after I saw it... my poor husband has had to put up with all my new recipes!

Bestie moving right next door!

My BFF since forever is moving to east bay which is not far from me at all, it's sure a lot better than 13 hours which is how far we use to live from each other. Yay! our families love each other too, so maybe her sisters will come visit so I can see them more often? (hint, hint Lacey!)

My Bro is a teacher!!

Can't help it but I am so dang proud of my bro (the one in the cap and gown)! He graduated college this summer and got a job teaching high school in our hometown. It isn't Kennewick high (our alma mater) but just one of our rivals Kamaikan. All well, he seems to like it and I am so jealous of all the kids who get a young cool teacher. Way to go bro!

I'm Back!!!

My computers motherboard (whatever that is) stopped working so we had to take our piece of junk hp to get fixed, a month later here we are. Oh, how I have missed blogging so! Anyway I have had to use library computers and also thanks to my great friends I have also been able to get assignments for school done on their computers. But, there is nothing quite like using your own computer. While my computer was gone my mom came to visit and we had sooo much fun, we both agreed it was the best trip to SF my mom has had so far. Weather was perf., food was good, and I actually knew where I was going this time.
Mom and me getting ready to see king tut stuff.

Can't be a tourist here without getting a picture of a trolley. Even though I'm not exactly a tourist.
Golden gate in the background, totally gorgeous day!
A view from the Legion of honor museum which is by far my favorite thing in SF!
The most beautiful building too

Watching a lady make fortune cookies, to take this picture we had to pay .50 cents
Coit tower pretty impressive but I was kind of nervous up inside of it! And it only cost $100,000 to build.
While mom was here we made lots and lots of farmers market runs. This gem was an apply called a pink pearl, it was good to.
This quarter at school I am taking a boot camp class so watch out for my smoking hot bod!
